CNS emphasises a collaborative working relationship between the neuropsychologist, the client, their family/carers, referrers, and other services and supports to assist in diagnosis and enhance rehabilitation outcomes and quality of life. Neuropsychological assessments and consultations are tailored to meet the specific needs of clients and referrers.
CNS provides skilled neuropsychological assessment, advice and support, encouraging and working alongside clients so that they can make informed decisions and take control of their treatment and rehabilitation.
Neuropsychological services are beneficial for clients with conditions that affect the brain. Examples include: traumatic brain injury (TBI), multiple sclerosis (MS), stroke & subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH), epilepsy, hypoxia, dementia, infectious diseases, tumours, movement disorders and a range of other neurological, neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental conditions.
CNS offers services to clients and their family/carers to support adjustment to new diagnoses and chronic conditions by providing timely assessments, psychoeducation, and tailored rehabilitation recommendations to address cognitive, emotional and behavioural changes.
CNS offers highly skilled and comprehensive neuropsychological assessments of cognitive, emotional and behavioural functioning following conditions of the brain. A diagnostic and treatment-focussed approach is the basis for all assessments. This means that a detailed evaluation is provided of clients’ cognitive, emotional and behavioural functioning as well as their psychological resources/supports, with an emphasis on understanding causation and guiding effective treatment/rehabilitation planning.
Through the use of clinical interview and reliable standardised measures, neuropsychological assessments can evaluate the following areas:

CNS considers the client’s social support systems, culture, and a range of other factors that can influence cognitive, behavioural and psychological functioning. This information is incorporated into a comprehensive Neuropsychological Assessment Report.
Feedback and advice are provided to clients and their supports following the assessment.
CNS works with clients aged 18 and over and is able to consult with, and accept referrals from, any of the following:

Following consultations with clients and organisations, CNS is able to: provide tailored advice on rehabilitation and treatment, make specific recommendations for behavioural support services, provide psychoeducation, and offer professional guidance on neuropsychological issues that impact on work and other life domains.
Holds a Doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology (University of Melbourne) and is registered with: the New Zealand Psychologists Board (NZPB) with the Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist scopes of practice, the Psychology Board of Australia with Neuropsychology Endorsement, and the British Psychological Society.
Dr Frazer has over 20 years’ clinical experience providing neuropsychological assessments, therapy and rehabilitation services in NZ and the UK.
