CNS Brain

Comprehensive Neuropsychological Assessments and Consultations

Neuropsychological services are beneficial for clients with conditions that affect the brain. Examples include: traumatic brain injury (TBI), multiple sclerosis (MS), stroke & subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH), epilepsy, hypoxia, dementia, infectious diseases, tumours, movement disorders and a range of other neurological, neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental conditions.

CNS offers services to clients and their family/carers to support adjustment to new diagnoses and chronic conditions by providing timely assessments, psychoeducation, and tailored rehabilitation recommendations to address cognitive, emotional and behavioural changes.

Neuropsychological Assessments

CNS offers highly skilled and comprehensive neuropsychological assessments of cognitive, emotional and behavioural functioning following conditions of the brain. A diagnostic and treatment-focussed approach is the basis for all assessments. This means that a detailed evaluation is provided of clients’ cognitive, emotional and behavioural functioning as well as their psychological resources/supports, with an emphasis on understanding causation and guiding effective treatment/rehabilitation planning.

Through the use of clinical interview and reliable standardised measures, neuropsychological assessments can evaluate the following areas:
